TESTIMONIALS     WingBar Equine Logo

Grace and I have been to the foothills four times with various other riders and she was a good girl. The rest of the time we have ridden in the arena and round pen with no problems. Yea! It helps to start them right, of course."

"Very well done.  Spent a lot of time on safety which is very important.  Was very patient with all questions that was asked.  Nice arena. Learned a lot.  When I got her to here I wanted to sell her.  Now I think I will keep her."  -- Gretchen H, Payette, ID
"The importance of ground work was emphasized and the class moved onto (saddle work) -- Reinsmanship, which was what I was ready to learn .  All in one day!  Great progression with slow hand techniques and safety tips.  Very easy to understand and remember.  The pace was just right in a class situation." -- Janice M, Emmett, ID
"I would recommend your clinic to other riders." -- Joan H., Davis, CA

"Thank you for putting on an excellent clinic yesterday and for helping me get my young mare started under saddle. Your natural methods made perfect sense to both me and Grace and I feel confident that we can move forward safely.
As I explained, this 3-year-old had not been handled much before I bought her in January, except to trim, worm, or vaccinate her (using force). While I have done some groundwork with Grace since then, she had not had a bit in her mouth and I was not sure exactly how to get to the next steps without help. And I certainly was not expecting to ride her yesterday, but I did, thanks to you!"

"I know you guys aren't even home yet but you and the clinic have almost consumed my thoughts and heart since Friday night.
I want to thank you again, JP, for deciding to allow me in the clinic as the 12th rider. I guess in football that would be 12th man on the field and not so good. But you can't possibly know what it meant to me - in fact I didn't even realize how important it was to me! This may sound crazy but God knew my heart better than I did. Oh, mentally I knew it was exactly the next step I had been waiting (and praying) for but sometimes I try to hide my heart from my mind and from God so disappointment won't be so hard to swallow. My plan was to be satisfied as a spectator but God in His infinite wisdom had the perfect plan for me. To be WITH my horse, learning WITH a professional, WITH a John Lyons' certification was God's way to show His faithfulness in writing my life story.
And Joan, even though I don't actually know you I got a glimpse of who you are and Lord willing I'll get to see more. You are an approachable person with a talent for horses and business, quite a cool combination!
PTA is napping in the sun while I write this and I'm sure she would want me to include her in giving you both a 'thank you' for a weekend well spent.
I best be on with the day. Until we see what God has next, I'll be praying for you both and the business.

"Having probably the least experienced horse in the clinic caused me to think we were taking up too much of JP's class time -- but he made me feel that my horse and me were just as important as the rest of the more "schooled" participants.  I gained much to help me ride safely both in the arena and on the trail.   I've read John Lyons for years -- this is the first time it has all made "perfect sense" to me." -- K. Johnston, Alberton, MT

Thank you again!!!!!!!"

"It was the best two days my horse and I ever spent together! JP Johnston's clinics have helped my horse and I better communicate with one another, making riding a more satisfying experience for both of us. I highly recommend this clinic for anyone trying to improve communication skills between the horse and the human. JP Johnston is great!"
